Mini Project
On 2 October 2026, the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University (NSTRU), under the Rajabhat University Strategic Project for Local Development, organized a hands-on training workshop entitled “AI Vision Lab: Building AI to See and Solve Everyday Problems” at Computer Laboratory 1926 for students from Phipun Sangharak Pracha Uthit School.
The activity aimed to promote students’ knowledge and practical skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) through hands-on learning and experimentation.
University Executives Welcome Participating Students
The event was honored by Dr. Thanee Jintasuttisak, Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, who delivered the opening remarks.
He was joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Korakot Chamnian and Dr. Pathompong Chabphlan, Deputy Directors of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology, who welcomed and met with the participating students.
From AI Concepts to Hands-on Practice
Throughout the workshop, students explored AI from fundamental concepts to practical applications. The learning activities covered AI in everyday life, Image Classification, Object Detection, Dataset Preparation, AI Model Training, and Model Testing.
These activities allowed students to gain a step-by-step understanding of how artificial intelligence systems work, while also developing practical digital skills through direct experimentation.
Students examined AI model performance and prediction accuracy and learned how the quality and preparation of datasets can affect AI performance. They also explored ways to improve AI models by refining and adjusting training datasets.
Applying AI to Solve Problems in School
After learning the fundamental concepts and experimenting with AI models, students applied their knowledge in the “Mini Project: AI for Solving Problems in School.”
The activity encouraged participants to identify problems within their school environment and explore how AI could be creatively applied to develop possible solutions to everyday challenges.
Sharing Ideas through AI Show & Share
At the end of the workshop, students presented their projects and shared their learning experiences during the “AI Show & Share” session.
The session provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, discuss their experiments, and reflect on what they had learned from developing and testing AI models themselves.
Bringing Digital Knowledge to Local Education
The activity forms part of the University’s mission to advance local development by bringing academic knowledge and digital technologies into local education.
Through initiatives such as the AI Vision Lab, the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology promotes opportunities for young learners to think critically, learn by doing, and apply AI creatively and responsibly.
The program also aims to help prepare students with essential knowledge and digital skills for learning and living effectively in the digital age.
